Where Curiosity Meets the Coastline
Welcome to Coastal Glades Microschool
We believe every child is a capable, curious, and unique individual who thrives when given the freedom to explore, the space to grow, and the support of a caring community. Our whole-child approach blends personalized learning, daily outdoor exploration, and high academic standards.
Nature-Immersed Learning
Our days are filled with hands-on exploration of the ocean, Everglades, and surrounding ecosystems.
Children might examine mangrove roots up close, record wildlife sightings in field journals, or test water salinity during science lessons. These experiences help students develop a deep connection to their environment and a genuine curiosity about the natural world. Outdoor learning isn’t just a supplement—it’s central to how we engage students across subjects.
Montessori-Inspired Approach
We honor each child’s pace and passions through purposeful, joyful learning environments.
Inspired by Montessori principles, our classrooms are thoughtfully prepared with materials that encourage independence, discovery, and critical thinking. Students are given the freedom to make choices in their learning while receiving gentle guidance from their teachers. This fosters confidence, intrinsic motivation, and a love for lifelong learning.
Personalized Education
Our one-room schoolhouse model is intentionally designed so every child is truly known, supported, and challenged.
Students learn together in a thoughtfully designed shared space that allows for individualized learning and meaningful teacher guidance. Instruction is responsive to each child’s strengths, needs, and interests, ensuring they are supported or challenged as appropriate. This approach allows students to progress at their own pace while developing confidence, independence, and a strong sense of belonging—academically, socially, and emotionally.
