At the heart of Coastal Glades Microschool is the belief that every child is capable, curious, and learns in their own unique way. We’ve created a one-room, multi-age environment where children are given the freedom to explore, the space to grow, and the support of a deeply connected learning community.

Our approach is Montessori-inspired and grounded in real, meaningful experiences. Learning here is hands-on, purposeful, and often extends beyond the classroom walls. Through our daily Explorer Block and place-based learning, students engage directly with the world around them, exploring local ecosystems, connecting with community members, and learning through authentic experiences that bring their education to life.

Living and learning in the Florida Keys is central to who we are. Our environment isn’t just a backdrop, it’s part of the curriculum. Students develop a deep understanding of and respect for the natural world, learning not only about it, but how to care for it.

We hold high expectations while honoring each child’s individual pace and path. Instruction is personalized, allowing students to be both supported and challenged in a way that builds confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning. While we align with Florida’s academic standards, we do so in a way that keeps learning engaging, flexible, and meaningful.
