Hi, I’m Samantha Simpson, the founder of Coastal Glades Microschool. I’m an experienced educator with over 11 years of teaching in both traditional public schools and charter school settings. I’m certified in Elementary Education (K–6) and Exceptional Student Education (K–12), and I’ve always believed that children learn best when their education is individualized, hands-on, and filled with time to explore the natural world.

But more than that, I’m also a mom to three amazing daughters, each with completely different learning styles. Seeing how uniquely they approach the world has deepened my belief that education should never be one-size-fits-all. Every child deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are.

That’s why I started Coastal Glades Microschool: to create the kind of learning environment I always dreamed of—one that blends academic excellence with individualized learning, high expectations with joyful discovery, and a strong foundation that nurtures confidence through outdoor exploration.
